Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026 · operated by mailholes, a sole proprietorship in Washington, USA

By creating an account, using an API key, or accessing mailholes (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, and our Privacy Policy.

What the Service does

mailholes provisions disposable email addresses on domains we operate and lets you read inbound messages programmatically (over MCP and HTTP). It is for receiving mail for legitimate purposes such as automated testing, agent workflows, and development. Received mail is automatically deleted on a short retention schedule (currently about one hour). We do not guarantee delivery, storage, or that any message will arrive or be retained.

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for all activity under your API keys; keep them secret and notify us of any unauthorized use. We may rotate or revoke keys to protect the Service.

Fees, trial, and refunds

Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial (card required), then renew at $9.99/year until cancelled. Free trials have usage limits (for example, a cap on how many mailholes can be created during the trial); paid subscriptions remove these limits. We may adjust trial limits to prevent abuse. Cancel any time before a renewal to avoid the next charge. Billing is handled by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record for tax purposes. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

Acceptable use

Your use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

Availability & changes

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, including retention periods, limits, and available domains.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 3 months or USD $50.

Indemnification & termination

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may suspend or terminate access for any violation or to protect the Service or third parties. On termination, your keys are revoked and stored data may be deleted.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Venue lies in the state or federal courts located in Washington.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use means acceptance.
